We offer flexible payment plans for cosigners, so if you are interested in being someoneโ€™s cosigner, we would love to hear from you.

Just remember that being a bail bond cosigner is a significant responsibility.ย

As a cosigner, you are responsible for ensuring that the defendant in question abides by all of the courtโ€™s requirements.

You will also be held financially responsible if the defendant skips bail.

A cosigner is typically a family member or close friend who can vouch for the defendantโ€™s character.

To be a cosigner, you must be 18 or older, be a citizen of the United States, have lived in Nevada for a set period of time, be employed, and have some credit.

Note: If you are a defendant and would rather get a self-signed bail bond, we do have those available.ย

But, to get one, you will need to have full collateral and also be willing to have a background check.

If getting a self-sign bail bond is right for you, call us at (702) 333-2663.

Bail Bondsman Q4 – Is my information safe with you?ย

Bail bondsmen are required by law to keep all information about their clients confidential.ย

This means that they cannot disclose any information about their clients to anyone, without the permission of their clients.ย

However, please be informed that in the State of Nevada, court records are considered public records. In effect, court records can be accessed by the general public.ย

Nevertheless, as your bail bondsman, we take this responsibility very seriously, and they will do everything they can to protect your information. You can rest assured that your information is safe with us.

Bail Bondsman Q5 – How long does it take for a person in custody to get out of jail?

Once the bond is posted, the person in custody will be released from jail. The average time it takes to get out of jail after posting bail is 12-48 hours.ย

However, keep in mind that there are several factors that affect the time of release.ย

If the arrest happens on a weekend or holiday, then the release will not happen until next the next available bail hearing date.

Bail Bondsman Q6 – Do I get my money back after the case is over?ย

Bail is money or property that a criminal defendant gives to a court to ensure that they will appear for their trial. Bail is typically set by a judge during a bail hearing.ย

If the defendant does not have enough money to post bail, they can contact a bail bondsman.ย

Bail bondsmen typically charge a non-refundable fee of 10% of the total bail amount.ย

This fee is not refunded to the defendant even if they are ultimately found innocent of the crime or if the charges are dropped.

Bail Bondsman Q7 – What happens if the defendant skips the hearing?

Bail is money or some other form of property that an arrested person gives to a court to ensure that they will return for their trial.ย

If the defendant fails to appear in court, the bail is forfeited and the court may issue a warrant for the defendant’s arrest.ย

Additionally, the surety (the party who posted bail on behalf of the defendant) may be held liable for the full amount of the bail.ย

In some cases, a bail bondsman may be used in lieu of cash bail.ย

A bail bondsman is a professional who posts bail on behalf of the defendant and usually charges a fee for their services.ย

If the defendant skips bail, the bail bondsman may hire a bounty hunter to track down and bring the defendant back to court.ย

Bail jumping is a serious offense and can result in additional jail time, fines, and increased bond amounts.ย

As such, it is important for defendants to understand the consequences of skipping bail before making any decisions.
